Who Turns Up
When you call (704) 360-0958, you're talking to the same shop that works out of 213 W Main Ave, Gastonia, NC 28052. We don't dispatch a stranger from three counties over. We show up knowing what we're walking into because we ask before we drive.
We work on torsion and extension springs, openers, tracks, rollers, cables, and panels - the parts that actually fail on a residential door. We don't do commercial storefront doors or gates, and we'll tell you that up front rather than waste your time on a visit.
Most of the housing stock we see was built between 1967 and 2011, with a lot of it landing in the 1980s and 90s across the 17 areas we cover. That matters because a door installed in 1985 doesn't take the same spring, track width, or opener bracket as one installed in 2005. Knowing the rough age of your house before we quote saves a second trip.

Straight answers about garage door repair in Gastonia. Still unsure? Ask us directly.
My house was built in the 80s and the door is original - is that a problem?
Not necessarily. A lot of houses built in the 1980s and 90s still have the original torsion springs and track, and plenty of them still work fine if they've been serviced occasionally. The spring does wear out eventually from cycle count, not just age, so a door that's barely used can last longer than one that opens ten times a day. We check the balance and wind on site before telling you it needs replacing.
Do you come out to Ranlo or Dallas, not just Gastonia?
Yes. Ranlo and Dallas are both close, around four and five miles out, and we cover them along with Lowell, McAdenville, Bessemer City, Cramerton, Belmont, Stanley, Kings Mountain, High Shoals, Mount Holly, Cherryville, Lowesville, Lincolnton, Grover, Light Oak, and Pineville. Housing in those areas follows similar build patterns, so we're generally working with the same hardware across the service area.
How do I know if it's the spring or the opener?
If the door won't budge at all, even with the opener disconnected and you pulling the emergency release by hand, that usually points to the spring. If the opener runs but the door doesn't move, or it reverses partway up, that's more likely the opener or a track issue. Tell us what you're seeing when you call and we'll bring the right parts.
Is it worth fixing an old door or should I replace it?
Depends on what's actually wrong and how much of the door is original. A single broken spring on an otherwise sound door is almost always worth fixing. A door with worn rollers, frayed cables, a bent track, and a dying opener all at once is a different conversation - at that point the repair bill can get close to what a new door costs, and we'll tell you that plainly rather than nickel-and-diming the fixes.
